Absence
These long miles,
these even longer days
the longing never rests;
the love unconditionally remains.
Those endless hours,
those dramatic moments in between
the prayers grow ever stronger,
speaking life to a true-hearted dream.
If absence makes the heart grow fonder,
if distance calls our hearts home,
then I’ll bless the tender tension of the journey
for loving you is the greatest adventure I’ve ever known.
